Miranda Jane Caird

Painting is more about narrowing down the infinite, than it is about coming up with an idea.

The studio is a little bach overlooking the ocean at, 25a Calvert Road, Whale Bay, Raglan.

It’s messy and crammed with originals, framed and unframed prints plus merchandise including cushion covers, magnets, postcards, and teatowels. Miranda has a printer and paper stock that produces museum-quality prints and she can print images of your choice up to A2 size while you are there.

Miranda is aiming to have my studio open a lot over summer 2020- 2021. She is open when the open sign is at the bottom of the driveway which is usually after 10:30 am. Please ring on 07 8250367 or messenger on Facebook at Miranda Jane Caird, to check she will be open to avoid disappointment. The best way is to make an appointment.

Miranda majored in Art at Wellington College of Education, graduating in 1992. She is enjoying exploring a variety of styles as well as the landscapes she is known for. These include large abstracts as well as contemporary florals. She has been influenced by Rita Angus, Don Binney, and Robin White.

Since she began painting more or less full time in 2003 she has painted over 1000 originals and her work is all around the world.
